Walking Tour of the Village

There are 6 signs posted with giving history of the village from 1829 to today, through photos, maps and architechtural heritage. A gentle 1 hour stroll, starting at either the recreation centre or the train turntable.

Walking Tour of Wakefield Trail

Starting in Geggie Park, this 2.2 km trail climbs through the tall pines to view both the Gatineau river and Gatineau Park.  Descending past the MacLaren cemetery, the MacLaren house and the renovated Mill Inn.  The trail follows the La Peche river back into the village.  Can be completed on foot or snowshoes in 1 hour.
